For calling Italy from the United States I’ve been recommending my colleagues two different phone card companies. The first has a call per minute rate of 1.2¢ for calling a land line and the other starts at 11.9¢ per minute for dialing a mobile number in Italy.

For calling a land line in France I use Speedy pin’s Clear Connections phone card which has a rate of 1.3¢ per minute with no fees. But for dialing a mobile number I use phone cards from the company Nobelcom. They have call per minute rates starting at 8.9¢ per minute. Both are highly reliable companies.
The MCI phone card is now known as the Verzizon World Traveler Card. It’s about time too to be honest since no everyone has ever heard of MCI since the company was broken off into pieces and sold.
